Steve and Ann Marie met in high school at Pilot Rock, Oregon, where we both spent our youth, Ann Marie on the family farm doing farm kid things, and Steve in town doing town kid things.  We dated our senior year in high school, and then went our separate ways for a bit.  Ann Marie went off to college, earning degrees in mathematics and chemical engineering.  Steve toured the world courtesy of the US Navy.  Eventually we reconnected and married in 1993, at which time Ann Marie began her career as a process engineer at a phosphorous plant in South East Idaho, and Steve began studying to become a registered nurse.

In 2007, we returned home to our roots, living on the family farm near both our mothers – Ann Marie’s still on the farm, and Steve’s still in town. We are fortunate to be living and restoring the farm house where Ann Marie’s dad was raised. The house was built in 1910 by Ann Marie’s great-great grandfather. There were many treasures to be discovered as we cleaned the house in preparation for the remodel. As of the end of 2022, we have only one bathroom, the breeze porch and some of the trim work on the second story left.

We are blessed to be able to live in this beautiful peaceful place, and treasure (nearly) every moment we get to spend here.
